TANCET 2024

TANCET 2024 is the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test conducted by Anna University for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programs offered by various colleges affiliated to Anna University and other universities in Tamil Nadu.

Important Dates:

Registration deadline: Extended to February 12, 2024
Exam date: March 9, 2024
- MCA: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- MBA: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Eligibility:

Candidates must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.

Exam Pattern:

The exam is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted in English.
There will be 100 objective-type questions to be answered in 2 hours.
The questions will be from the following sections:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning
- Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
- General Knowledge

Syllabus:

The syllabus for TANCET is based on the latest trends in management education. It encompasses various subjects such as:

Quantitative Aptitude: Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and data sufficiency
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning: Data analysis, logical reasoning, and critical thinking
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension: Reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and verbal reasoning
General Knowledge: Current affairs, business awareness, and general knowledge of India

Registration:

Candidates can register for the TANCET exam online on the official website.
The registration fee is ₹1,000 for general category candidates and ₹500 for reserved category candidates.

Hall Ticket:

Hall tickets will be issued to registered candidates before the exam date. Applicants are able to retrieve their hall tickets from the official website.

Results:

TANCET results will be declared online after the exam. Candidates will be able to access their results using their registration number.

Counselling:

Counselling for admission to MBA and MCA programs will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chennai. Candidates who qualify in the TANCET exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
